Parent Partnership

“Parental involvement in a child’s education can be a more powerful force in learning then family background and parents’ education level, and contributes to no less than 10% of variation in achievement”. (DfES 1999)

We are extremely fortunate to have supportive and friendly parents who fully support our school. Our parents recognise that educating children effectively is a process that involves a strong partnership between parents, staff and the wider school community.

We know and respect that:

  • parents are the most important influence in a child’s life
  • parents want their child to succeed
  • our curriculum can only be fully effective if there is partnership between parents, children and the school
  • children need educational and emotional support if they are to succeed
We are committed to establishing and maintaining an effective and purposeful working relationship between the school and home.  Our aim is to:

  • actively involve parents in school life
  • develop good communication with parents and to fully inform them about what is happening in school
  • actively involve parents in the education and progress of their child
  • make full use of parents’ expertise and willingness to enhance their own learning and that of their child and other children and to
  • establish the views and opinions of parents of the school and act upon these where appropriate
Parent Code of Conduct
This code of conduct reminds all parents and carers about the expected conduct. This is so we can continue to fulfil our vision to enable our children to use their God given gifts to let their light shine!
